Dr Nigel Abraham, Scientific DirectorNigel has more than 20 years experience as an assay development scientist, he has been involved in extensive research in the field of chemical mediators of allergic disease and salivary hormone diagnostics. He is a graduate in haematology from St. Georges Medical School London and went on to study immunology at the University of Surrey. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science and a chartered scientist. As co-founder of IWDL Nigel has been a pioneer of functional laboratory testing in the United Kingdom. His is responsible for the provision of Genova Diagnostics Europe health education program for the United Kingdom and Europe. He is a lecturer for many of the major education centres for nutritionists and complementary therapists as well as regularly holding seminars and presentations as part of continuing professional development for practitioners. He has been involved in many research projects and has published a number of scientific papers as well as actively involved in the promotion of functional medicine to the media. Susanne Blake, BSc (HONS) mBANT Senior Practitioner SupportSusanne gained her degree in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Westminster in 2002, and soon after joined the Individual Wellbeing Clinic in Chelsea and later the laboratory technical support team. Susanne has developed extensive knowledge in the field of the functional laboratory evaluations and their application to the everyday patient, as well as implementing successful nutritional-based therapeutic interventions. Her special interests include preventative medicine and predictive genomics. Susanne leads the practitioners support team and also organises a series of educational workshops to assist in practitioner training. Natalie Lindow, Dip RAW mBANT Practitioner SupportNatalie graduated from Raworth College of Complementary Therapy in 2005 with a Diploma in Dietary & Nutritional Therapy and from Premier International, the UK’s leading health & fitness provider in 2003 as a Personal Fitness Trainer. She has been consulting since qualifying in 2005 and continues to see patients privately in several clinics in Surrey. Natalie joined IWDL in January 2006 and her role within the company has developed from patients and practitioner support to a wider range of roles such as Client Services Representative. Laura Stirling, Practitioner SupportLaura graduated from BCNH – UK College of Nutrition & Health with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy. Laura joined Genova Diagnostics Europe in February 2007 as part of the Practitioner Support Team and as a patient co-ordinator, aiding patients to choose suitable testing where possible and to help patients find local practitioners. Her special interests include digestive and hormonal health. |
