Women's Hormonal Health
Assessment
The Women's
Hormonal Health Assessment provides a
focused overview of sex steroid hormones and
inter-relationships in both pre- and post-
menopausal women, helping to better assess
the impact of hormonal imbalance on each
woman's health.
Sex
hormones affect a wide array of functions in
the body and they are all inter-dependent.
Imbalances in any one hormone can lead to a
variety of different symptoms. This
test looks at 4 different types of oestrogen
as well as progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S,
and sex hormone binding globulin. It
also analyses the balance of anti- and pro-
carcinogenic metabolites of oestrogen –
presenting them in a ratio that can be
influenced through nutrition and
supplementation.
This
test requires a blood draw which needs to be
taken at specific times depending on whether
pre-menopausal (during the Luteal phase),
post-menopausal women (at anytime) or
menopausal women taking HRT.
Anyone suffering
from the following conditions would benefit
from this test:
